Every Connection Counts – Summer 2022 Newsletter

I was honoured to join Big Sisters as Executive Director on June 15th. It’s an organization that I had personally admired for many years because of the difference it makes in the lives of youth in our community.

Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide expert support to the over 650 youth and volunteers Big Sisters serves each year. Stories like that of Ashley and Mariah in this newsletter, exemplify the deep bonds our organization creates.

Of course, all this would not be possible without the strength of our supporters and partners. Each year at our Annual Luminary Soiree, Big Sisters recognizes a person or people in the community who have moved the needle on mentorship and youth empowerment. This year, I’m delighted to announce 2022’s Luminary Award recipients: Jill Schnarr and Juggy Sihota. Please save the date join us for a celebration of mentorship on October 13th, 2022.
